Grants made for International Tours and Events In 2006 Prem Rawat spoke by invitation in 59 events in 21 different countries, to audiences totalling more than one million. The Charity made a significant contribution to making these events happen, through its international grants.
Grants made for Materials & Broadcasts
Those interested in learning more about Prem Rawat’s message can read, see, and listen directly to his presentations through an extensive range of written materials, DVDs, CDs and Internet, whose production costs are supported by grants from the Charity.
Grants in support of International Outreach Projects
During 2006 the Charity was pleased to play a significant role in the
development of the International Outreach Project, a new initiative for promoting the teachings of Prem Rawat, around the world and particularly in developing or other regions, which would otherwise lack the resources to be able to promote Prem Rawat's message as effectively. Examples of the Charity's support (provided by way of international grant) may include the provision of supplies of CDs and DVDs and the donation of a DVD player and other logistical support.
Support Costs
These are costs relevant to the undertaking of charitable activities and include an apportionment of such overheads, as premises and facilities, staff costs, information technology and depreciation.
Branches Events
For administrative purposes, the country is divided into regions. Each region has its own voluntary officials of the Charity, including in each case an area treasurer. Local events are held, all the year round, throughout the UK, in local halls, hotel rooms and similar venues at which videos and broadcasts of Prem Rawat’s worldwide presentations are shown. During 2006 there were approximately 980 such events throughout the country.
Elan Vital is a registered charity.
